Issue with Compare – Unreadable Text in Compared File

Hi @sergei.terentev, thank you for the update. It’s disappointing to know that the fix has been postponed to v25.10, as this issue is impacting us significantly. Could you please confirm the expected release timeline for v25.10 so that we can plan accordingly?

Hi, @sureshemailid, unfortunately we cannot give exact timeline. I have only information that pdf comparison is a priority task for comparison developers. As soon as we got the fix, we can release it in Comparison.Cloud immediately, but we don’t have it.

Hi @sergei.terentev, thank you for clarifying. I understand that there isn’t an exact timeline available at the moment.

However, this issue is causing a significant impact on our work. Could you please share any tentative update or expected timeframe as soon as it becomes available?

Hi, @sureshemailid, I have passed your request to the developers. All information I have, is that, issue is targeted to v25.10 now, and has a high priority

Hi @sergei.terentev , We would really appreciate it if this could be fixed at the earliest, as it’s causing a significant impact on our work.

Hi, @sureshemailid, we try to force the developers to make the fix.

Hi @sergei.terentev It’s been more than a week, Can you please update me with the timeline?

Hi, @sureshemailid,

We’d like to let you know that a major update to the PDF comparison functionality will be released at the end of October (version 25.10).

Regarding your specific source and target PDF documents that you shared earlier — the comparison result will be noticeably improved in the upcoming version. However, since your source and target files differ significantly in structure and layout, the output will still appear mostly as an overlay of the two documents.
I’ve attached a sample (output_25.10.pdf) comparison result that illustrates what you can expect. Could you please confirm whether this kind of output would meet your expectations, or share what you would ideally like to see?

Additionally, we plan to introduce a new alternative PDF comparison mode, similar to the Adobe PDF comparison tool. In this mode, the result document will contain two separate pages:
the first page showing deletions from the source file,
the second page showing insertions from the target file.
This approach should make differences much clearer and help avoid the visual clutter that can occur when insertions and deletions are displayed together on a single page.

Note: Cloud version of GroupDocs.Comparison may obtain new features with a delay

Hi @sergei.terentev

Thank you for the detailed update and for sharing the sample comparison output.
The new comparison mode you mentioned—showing deletions and insertions on separate pages—sounds very helpful and would definitely make it easier to identify changes more clearly. We look forward to seeing this feature once it’s available.

Hi, @sureshemailid , we have updated Comparison.Cloud v25.11 - it includes PDF comparison improvements, I wrote about.
Also we have a plan to add new feature in the pdf comparison functionality which places deleted and inserted changes on the different pages, which will prevent any overlaps. I can’t say the exact date, but most real in the h1 2026.
